And the winner is…!

Firstly, thanks so much to everyone who entered my very first book giveaway here at The Inspired Notebook.

I’ve had a lot of fun in the last week, sharing this giveaway on Twitter and Facebook, ‘meeting’ new readers and subscribers, and checking out your blogs – quite possibly when I was supposed to be doing some actual work, so we won’t mention that small detail to my hubby!

On Tuesday I saw the movie, “The Help”, and it was every bit as good as I’d expected.

I was grateful for having read someone’s ‘tweet’ suggesting that tissues might be necessary. They were.

I haven’t found as much time as I’d like to read the book, but am at least up to Ch 8. With the kids on school holidays this week and next, I’m hoping to have a little more time to relax myself, and to read a whole lot more.

For now, let’s get to the exciting announcement you’ve been waiting for!

Here are the two winning numbers as chosen by Random.org (I realized a little too late that I don’t have numbered comments, so had to count them instead – I’ll make sure to add comment numbers before my next giveaway!):

Congratulations to Michelle and Natalie! I’ve sent you both an email and look forward to sending out your copies of “The Help” as soon as I hear from you.

Thanks again to all of you who entered. If you weren’t one of the winners this time, make sure you try again next month!

Speaking of which, I’d love for you to check out The Not So Shabby Bookshelf and leave a comment here telling me what book you’d love a chance to win in my October giveaway.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

Brigid

  1. A suggestion for the October book giveaway is “The Go Giver” by Bob Burg and John David Mann. This book sounds appealing to me because it is a short parable about an inspiring young business man who changes his focus from getting to giving… short is good for me when trying to squeeze in reading a book in a hectic lifestyle!

There is also a companion book called “Go Givers Sell More”. A set of short, essay-like chapters about applying the Go-Giver principles to real-world situations. More short… sounds good!

    1. Thanks so much for the suggestion Kerrie! “The Go-Giver” looks like a great book. I’m going to get one for myself too when I order this!
I read another great (short) book recently: “Anything You Want” by Derek Sivers. Short, and a quick read, but absolutely packed with great advice for entrepreneurs and business owners!
